Just before joining Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara, Wolf & Carone, LLP, Ms. Buckwalter was a senior associate dealing with complex family litigation at a boutique family firm in Westchester.

Ms. Buckwalter received her Juris Doctor from New York Law School, where she was President of the Immigration Law Students Association in 2008-2009 and a student advocate for the NYLS Domestic Violence Project/Courtroom Lawyers Project. Ms. Buckwalter also graduated with honors from Long Island University, where she received an academic achievement award in her specialty and was accepted into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society.

Ms. Buckwalter has been recognized annually as a «Rising Star» by Super Lawyers in the field of Family Law since 2016. Each year, the Super Lawyers research group selects no more than 2.5% of the state's lawyers to receive this honor.
