Mr. Broutman's practice focuses on the areas of mental health and labor law.

Mr. Broutman has been practicing mental health law for more than a decade, representing patients and hospital clients. It is noteworthy that Mr. Broutman took part in the formation of the parameters of the Law on Mental Hygiene in numerous appeal cases and cases of the Court of Appeal.

In addition, Mr. Broutman handles all aspects of labor law, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and negotiation of employment and severance agreements. Mr. Broutman also deals with housing discrimination based on race, gender, disability or marital status.

Previously, Mr. Broutman was a staff attorney at the Touro Law Center's Legal Clinic for Mental Disorders, where he specialized in civil rights litigation in the field of mental health. Mr. Broutman has extensive knowledge of mental health legislation and, in particular, its relationship to constitutional law and various discrimination laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Housing Amendment Act.

Mr. Broutman received his Juris doctor from the University of San Diego Law School, where he graduated with honors and worked in the Law Review. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Mr. Broutman is a member of the New York State Bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
