A native of the Midwest, Mr. Abrahamson retains the region's hardworking values as a founding partner of Abrahamson & Uiterwyk. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Luther College in 1984, and received a juris doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 1987. Stetson is consistently considered one of the best law schools in the country in the field of judicial advocacy. Mr. Abrahamson also studied law in Bordeaux, France, and Oxford, England. While studying at law school, Mr. Abrahamson was selected to participate in the prestigious Stetson Sports team, where he actively participated in competitions that tested his advocacy skills. He was honored with first place in the National Stetson Litigation Competition and second place in the National Stetson Brief Appeals Competition. Mr. Abrahamson began his career working as a lawyer at various law firms while studying at Stetson University.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Abrahamson practiced at the law firm of Park, Smith, Dayton and Bugg, P.A. In 1989, he founded his own law firm specializing in representing the interests of injured victims. Mr. Abrahamson is admitted to practice law in the courts of the States of Florida and Colorado, as well as in the United States District Court, the United States Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Abrahamson is a member of the Clearwater Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association, and the American Association for Justice Education.

In addition, Mr. Abrahamson served as the Director of the Young Lawyers Section of the Clearwater Bar Association. He has also served as a listener for the Pinellas County School Board and has spoken on various legal topics at local colleges, on radio and television. Mr. Abrahamson practices personal injury law at the firm's Clearwater office and runs it. For many years after graduating from law school, he kept in touch with his alma mater, coordinating the firm's sponsorship of various events at the Stetson University College of Law. Abrahamson and Witherwick also sponsored the University of South Florida's Preliminary Law Society.

Believing that maintaining his physical health and condition increases mental acuity, Mr. Abrahamson leads an active lifestyle, spending weekends on Anna Maria Island and in Homosass or traveling to Colorado, where he enjoys outdoor sports — skiing in the winter months and hiking and cycling in warm weather. He also runs away to the mountains of North Carolina, trains with weights and jogs with his faithful companion, a golden retriever named “Polar".
