Lisa R. Marks - Lawyer in Englewood, CO

Lisa Marks is a lawyer in Berg Simpson's Commercial litigation department. She focuses her practice on commercial and business litigation, including contract disputes, corporate and partnership disputes, labor disputes, construction and real estate disputes, securities fraud, civil theft, trade secrets and intellectual property disputes.

Prior to joining Burg Simpson, Ms. Marks worked for law firms located in Colorado and Illinois, dealing with commercial and business litigation. Ms. Marks also worked as a lawyer for the Honorable William F. Dressela (retired) in the Eighth Judicial District of Colorado, assisting a judge with his court case, including jury trials, conducting legal research, writing legal memoranda and drafting opinions for the court.

A graduate of the Law Faculty of Northwestern University, Ms. Marks worked very actively at the Law Clinic of Northwestern University. As part of the Children and Family Justice Center of the Law Clinic, Ms. Marks helped represent children, parents, grandparents in Chicago Juvenile Court and the child welfare system.

Ms. Marks also holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Clark University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College. During her student work, Ms. Marks studied abroad at the University of Malaga in Malaga, Spain.

As a mother of two, Ms. Marks is actively involved in her children's school, religious, sports and extracurricular activities.
