His other legislative achievements include the Majority Floor Leader (2007-2009), the Speaker Pro-Tem (2005-2007), the Executive Council (2005-2009), the Deputy Chair of the Appropriations Committee (2005-2007), the Selection Committee on Capital Financing and Investment (2007-2009), the Day-marking of state funds on Capital Construction of Schools (2000-2001), the Selection Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse (2005-2007) and He co-chaired the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee (2005-2006), the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee (1999-2005), the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee (2003-2005), and the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee (2004).
Mr. Simpson is one of Wyoming's representatives chosen to join the State Council of Government (CSG-WEST), the first leadership training institution for state legislators to build excellence and effectiveness in state legislators.
