John F. Lauro - Lawyer in Tampa, FL

Mr. Lauro has an extensive national practice as a trial lawyer with over 30 years of experience. He is a native New Yorker, and his firm has offices in New York and Florida. Mr. Lauro graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. He began his practice with the international law firm of Morgan, Lewis. Mr. Lauro was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, where he prosecuted international narcotics and white collar criminal matters. After government service, Mr. Lauro established a practice in Florida and New York, and became a partner with a national law firm. In 1994, he founded the Lauro Law Firm, which specializes in complex criminal and commercial litigation involving health care regulation, securities law, money-laundering, anti-trust, tax, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, etc. Recently, Mr. Lauro obtained a Rule 29 acquittal on behalf of the former president of Medical Manager, Inc. (later WebMD), in a complex criminal securities fraud trial.
