Allison «Alli” Takacs focuses his practice on representing the interests of homeowners and public associations in court proceedings on construction defects. Ms. Takacs received her Juris doctor degree from the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law, graduating among the top 15% in her class. While studying at the University of Denver, Ms. Takacs participated in the National Trial Team for two years, winning the National Ethics Competition in Sacramento, California. Ms. Takacs also won an advocacy tournament at the Daniel S. Memorial Court. Hoffman's trial tournament, the trial tournament for the Lawyers' Cup and the trial tournament for the Hogan-Lovells Cup in Crosstown. Ms. Currently, Takacs is an adjunct professor at the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law, teaching judicial advocacy to the current National Judicial Team. Ms. Takacs is licensed to practice law in Colorado and South Dakota.
Prior to joining Burg Simpson, Ms. Takacs handled grievous bodily harm litigation in Denver, Colorado. This work allowed her to develop a deep understanding of trial strategies and how to build a case from the very beginning. Ms. Takacs also worked as a legal intern for Chief Justice Michael Martinez in the 2nd Judicial District Court. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Takacs received a double bachelor's degree in social and legal studies and psychology with a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Denver.
Although she was born in South Dakota, Ms. Takacs grew up in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Accordingly, she loves snowboarding, playing sports, traveling and every single dog. In her free time, Miss Takacs can usually be found at the gym or spending time with her husband and golden retriever Boo Bear.
