Paul D. Friedman - Lawyer in Phoenix, AZ

Paul D. Friedman graduated from the Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction in 1985, where he entered the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society. He graduated from the Western School of Law, California in 1989 (Doctor of Law). He was editor of the California Western Law Review International Law Journal and editor-in-chief of the California Western Directory. He received a Master's degree in Bioethics in 2004 and a Distinguished Achievement Award from Midwestern University's College of Health Sciences and Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. In 2006, he received his Ph.D. in philosophy in Business, law and Medical ethics from the University of Lacrosse. Paul practices in areas of significant personal injury, wrongful death, ethics and professional malpractice. He previously directed healthcare providers and graduate students in the medical field at the Midwestern University of Osteopathic Medicine and the University of Arizona In addition, he authored manuals and taught lawyers and forensic professionals in the Certified Forensic Consultant® program at the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute. Paul is a nationally recognized expert and speaker in the area of bioethics and legal ethics.

He was appointed Arizona Attorney in 1989, Colorado attorney in 1992, District of Columbia Attorney in 2004, and Federal attorney in 2004. He has served in the Arizona Supreme Court, the Arizona District Court, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He has served on various boards for the Arizona Supreme Court, including the Board of Legal Document Makers, and recently appointed Chief Justice Bales to the Legal Services Task Force. In addition, Paul has been a lawyer panel member of the Arizona Disciplinary Panel since its establishment in 2011 and has served as a disciplinary Settlement Conference officer since 2016.  Paul has also served on the Arizona Attorney Fees Arbitration Commission since 2012.
