About the lawyer
Raphael (he/him/his) focuses on class actions, complex commercial litigation, and appeals.
Rafi has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in trial and appellate courts across the country. His experience spans antitrust, securities, and consumer class actions, international arbitrations, government investigations, and nationwide global warming lawsuits brought by states and municipalities against major fossil fuel producers.
Rafis passion for the law began at the University of Chicago Law School, where he graduated with high honors, was elected as a member of the Order of the Coif, and named a Kirkland Ellis scholar. He served as Articles Editor of The University of Chicago Law Review and was the inaugural recipient of the Douglas Baird Prize in Commercial Law.
Thereafter, he worked at Sullivan Cromwell LLP in New York City, followed by clerkships with the Honorable Paul S. Diamond of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Honorable Thomas L. Ambro of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. After completing his clerkships, Rafi worked at a prominent antitrust class-action boutique and a plaintiff's-side class action firm.
