Gerald E. Durbin, II, began his legal career in 1971 and has been admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Oklahoma, as well as the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U. S. Supreme Court. Over the past over 45 years, his practice has concentrated in the area of complex civil litigation. He has represented many national insurers and represented individuals in obtaining some of the most significant verdicts rendered in Oklahoma.
His successful career has been recognized by membership in the American College of Trial Lawyers (membership is limited to 1% of the lawyers in each state), multiple years as a Top 50 Lawyer by Super Lawyers and by the Oklahoma Magazine. He has lectured on various topics including medical malpractice, trial tactics, and insurance law in many states. He co-authored an Oklahoma City University Law Review Article entitled The Law of Good Faith in Oklahoma, which the Oklahoma Supreme Court has cited as authority in the case of Barnes vs. Oklahoma Farm Bureau.
He is a member of the Holloway Inns of Court, Defense Institute, American and Oklahoma Bar Associations. He has served as Chairman of the Magistrate Committee for the Western District of Oklahoma. He has served on various committees of the State and Oklahoma County Bar Associations, where he has held various offices including President. He also served on the Board of Heritage Hall, a K through 12th grade school in Oklahoma City. He has served as Chairman of the Principal-for-a-Day program for the Oklahoma City Public Schools.
