Bob has significant experience with process plants, including water and wastewater treatment, heavy industrial process facilities, and power plants. He has acted as counsel on a wide array of construction projects, including coal, solar, gas-fired, and hydroelectric power plants, water and wastewater treatment plants, tunneling projects, locks and dams, highways, pipelines, transmission lines, and heavy industrial and commercial construction projects. He represents owners, EPC contractors, equipment manufacturers, construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and pipeline suppliers and installers. He has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Rising Star every year since 2013.Bob frequently assists clients with risk assessments and in avoiding construction disputes or resolving them through mediation or other alternative dispute resolution methods. He has been extensively involved in several trials, arbitrations and administrative proceedings. Bob has also successfully represented a design professional in a matter of first impression on appeal to the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court (Ribarchak v. Mun. Auth., 44 A.3d 706, 2012 Pa. Commw. LEXIS 150, 2012 WL 1825264 (Pa. Commw. Ct. 2012)).
He is the editor of Constructlaw?, a blog focusing on recent trends in construction law and construction litigation. He is active in the Construction Law section of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Bob also has experience representing health systems, veterinary clinics, pharmacies and individuals with respect to a broad range of pharmacy regulatory and risk management matters. He has also represented pharmacies and pharmacists seeking licensure in various states and in state board of pharmacy proceedings and investigations. He is a pharmacist and a member of the adjunct faculty at Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy.
