Stephanie M. Cerasano - Lawyer in Phoenix, AZ

Stephanie has thirteen years of experience practicing exclusively in the area of employment law. A significant portion of her practice involves advising businesses in their day-to-day employment decisions. She also represents employers in federal and state court, as well as before administrative agencies, with particular focus in the areas of disability discrimination, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and wage and hour compliance. She has significant experience in preparing confidentiality and non-competition agreements, employment contracts, and personnel handbooks.

Stephanie frequently serves as a guest speaker for professional groups, giving presentations about a variety of employment-law topics. She has spoken, among numerous other topics, regarding: tips for lawful employment termination, ADA and FMLA issues, and discrimination and harassment. She also speaks regularly regarding technology issues in the workplace, such as employee blogs and protection of confidential employer information.

Stephanie has served on the Employment Practices Committee for the Arizona Chapter of Associated General Contractors and on the Executive Committee for the Labor and Employment Section of the Arizona State Bar. Stephanie is also a former Program Coordinator for the Employment Section of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel and was on the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers Division of the Maricopa County Bar Association from 1997- 2000.

Stephanie is a member of the Arizona State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the Arizona Superior Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Stephanie received her B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany, cum laude, 1992, and her J.D. from Arizona State University College of Law, magna cum laude, in 1996.
