Dan earned his B.S. in Business Administration with High Distinction from the University of Arizonas Eller College of Management in 1982 and his Juris Doctor cum laude from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in Chicago in 1986.
Dans practice has focused on representing businesses and governmental entities in complex business transactions (including asset and corporate acquisitions and dispositions, the origination and workout of large construction, real estate, and commercial loans, and technology based companies), complex litigation matters (including antitrust, loan enforcement, contract disputes, and regulatory matters), and intellectual property matters (including software licensing, protection of trade secrets, trademarks and copyrights, and research, development, marketing, and confidentiality agreements). A substantial portion of Dans practice has involved representing Indian tribes, including matters relating to water, gaming, real estate, contracts, construction and financing, tort claims, and elections, including both transactional matters and litigation in the federal, state, and tribal courts.
Dan has been awarded an AV Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been included in The Best Lawyers in America for Gaming Law and Native American Law every year those categories have existed. Dan was selected by Best Lawyers as the Lawyer of the Year for Native American Law in Tucson for 2019.
Dan also was included in the 2007 and 2011- 2015 editions of Southwest Superlawyers for business litigation. Dan is a fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, an honorary society of trial lawyers recognizing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation at the trial and appellate levels.
Daniel J. Quigley formerly was a partner with Brown Bain, P.A. (now Perkins Coie), Quigley Whitehill, PLC, and Rusing Lopez Lizardi, PLLC. From 2003 — 2013, Dan also served as General Counsel to the Tohono O'odham Gaming Enterprise, which operates the Desert Diamond Casinos Entertainment in Southern Arizona.
