SusanRitz haspracticed employment law since 1985. She is a partner in the law firm of RitzClark Ben-Asher LLP. Ms. Ritz handles all forms of employment-relatedmatters, including advising employees and partners regarding their rights,duties and entitlement to benefits, handling contract, severance agreement andpartnership dispute negotiations, and representing employees and partners innegotiations, mediations, administrative proceedings, arbitrations and lawsuitsencompassing a full panoply of employment-related issues, with special emphasison claims of unlawful harassment, retaliation and employment discrimination onthe basis of race, sex, national origin, age, disability, religion, maritalstatus and sexual orientation.

Ms. Ritzprovides neutral mediation services, and conducts impartial internalinvestigations on behalf of employers into alleged discriminatory conduct. Shealso advises non-profits and employers on employment-related issues andrepresents employers in severance negotiations. She offers harassment anddiscrimination prevention training to management and employees, as well.

She serves as a pro bono mediator for theUnited States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Beforebeginning her law practice, Ms. Ritz was the law clerk to Supreme Court JusticeKristin Booth Glen. Ms. Ritz graduated cum laude from New YorkUniversity School of Law, where she was a Root-Tilden Scholar and a member ofthe Order of the Coif. She graduated from Brown University with an Honors B.A.in Ethics and Political Philosophy. She is admitted to practice in the stateand federal courts of the state of New York, the Second Circuit and the UnitedStates Supreme Court.
