Joes practice has been dedicated exclusively to the construction and manufacturing industries for more than 15 years. He represents owners, EPC contractors, construction managers, general contractors and subcontractors in disputes on a wide array of construction projects, including power plants, mass transit systems, highways, high voltage electric transmission lines, pipelines and heavy industrial and commercial construction projects.

He has handled disputes in federal and state court, the United States Board of Claims, the Commonwealth Board of Claims and in domestic and international arbitration. In addition to litigation, he advises clients throughout the life-cycle of a construction project to avoid disputes and maximize recoveries.

Joe currently serves on the Steering Committee for the Litigation Section of the ABA Forum on Construction Law and serves on the Young Professional Leadership Board of the Barnes Foundation. He lectures and writes on construction-related topics, including handling discovery of electronically stored information in litigation, termination of construction contracts, delay and disruption claims, liability of design professionals, and mechanics liens.
