Ken Van Winkle is Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie's ManagingPartner. He is a member of the firm's Real Estate Transactional Group andfocuses his practice on real estate leasing, real estate equity and debtfinancing, and real estate sales and acquisitions.

Ken has represented both borrowers and lenders in a varietyof real estate finance transactions, including mortgage based lendingtransactions, equity joint venture financing transactions, franchise lendingtransactions, sales/leaseback transactions and leasehold mortgage transactions.Most of his work involves representation of bank clients, insurance companiesand REITS. His experience covers the broad spectrum of real estate financingtransactions, including extensive work with real estate development jointventures.

Ken has represented many institutional clients in acquiringand disposing of developed and undeveloped multifamily residential, singlefamily residential, commercial, retail and industrial real estate. He hasexperience handling the joint venture and purchase and sale of multifamilyproducts, retail centers, office complexes, industrial buildings andresidential land developments. The representation has included the negotiatingand drafting of contracts, coordinating due diligence and closing thetransaction.

In the area of Real Estate leasing, Ken represents severalrestaurant chains in connection with their leasing agreements, licensure issuesand disputes on a local, regional and national scale. Current and priorrestaurant clients include P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Pei Wei Asian Diner, PaulMartin's American Grill, Wildfish and Eddie V's, Z'Tejas and Peter Piper Pizza.His experience has provided extensive exposure to the requirements and postureof many local, regional and national retail landlords. He also has extensiveexperience representing tenants in leasing office, manufacturing and industrialspace, nationally.
