Ms. Henry completed her undergraduate studies at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. Ms. Henry received her juris doctorate from Washburn University School of Law. During law school, she was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity and a Student Ambassador. She also was a member of the Washburn Law Trial Team. Ms. Henry received her Family Law Certificate by completing upper-level oral and written requirements, as well as pro bono requirements.

After graduating from law school, Ms. Henry served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Chanute. In that position, she successfully prosecuted cases at the city level, including DUI, traffic, MIP, and petty theft. While in Chanute, Ms. Henry also worked for a private firm for which she primarily handled family law cases.
