Bob Box is a partner in the Tax Practice Group. Bob Box is an attorney and certified public accountant with more than three decades of experience providing clients with guidance to help them achieve their business and financial goals. He represents businesses and individuals in complex corporate transactions and in taxation, real estate, and succession matters.

Over the course of his career and across numerous economic cycles, he has helped clients make informed decisions as they pursue growth opportunities, strengthen their companies, and mitigate business risks. Bob has established a national reputation for his work in federal and state taxation, low-income housing, historic and other federal and state tax credits, and sophisticated tax and estate planning matters. Bob routinely assists clients with business formations, mergers and acquisitions, and restructurings. He frequently represents developers of commercial, retail, and other properties, as well as syndicators, in all aspects of real estate finance including acquisitions and leasing. Bob understands the business and tax- and estate-planning issues that arise for high-net-worth families and business owners, and he provides sophisticated counsel, helping clients with their wills and working with families to balance competing goals and find common ground. He also provides effective counsel in IRS and state tax examinations and disputes.

Bob is a frequent speaker and writer and enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with members of the legal, accounting, and business communities. His most recent work in this area includes presentations to the American Bar Association Business and Tax Sections, the Mississippi Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Division, and the Mississippi Society of CPAs. He also has served as chairman of the tax sections of the Mississippi Bar and the Mississippi Society of CPAs.

Bob has provided pro bono legal counsel to organizations seeking tax-exempt status as well as his local chapter of the Mississippi Better Business Bureau. He is a native of the Jackson, Mississippi, area and, in his free time, enjoys travel, running, and Ole Miss Alumni and sports activities.
