Rob advises clients and obtains protection for inventions directed to optics, photonics, opto-electronics, semiconductors, laser technologies, image processing, video compression, virtual reality, software, and telecommunications, among other technologies. He also counsels clients on intellectual property strategy, portfolio development, and protection of trade secrets.

Robs optical physics background includes earning B.S. and M.S. degrees in Physics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). While at UNLV, he completed experimental work in magneto-optical trapping and optical tweezers.
