Christina Habas - Lawyer in Denver, CO

Christina Habas is a lifelong resident of Colorado. Shes a former Denver District Court Judge, who is a passionate, effective advocate for her clients. She joined the law firm in 2012.

Christina went to law school because she grew up in awe of the power of the judicial process. At a young age, her mother took her on a field trip to the courthouse, and she saw one of the states first female judges at work. It was an experience that set her on a path for law school.

She started practicing law more than 30 years ago, and her love of trial work brought her back to private practice after serving on the bench for nearly a decade.

Over the course of her career, Christina has tried more than 100 trials as an attorney, and she presided over more than 200 trials in her time on the bench. Her love of the law and the courtroom has led her to work as a teacher of trail advocacy and practice around the world. Over the past 20 years, shes taught some of the leading trial attorneys across the country, in addition to using her skills to help clients on a range of trial issues.

Once she decided to step down from the bench, Christina came to Keating Wagner because she kept in touch with one of her former students, Mike Keating, who persuaded her that this was where she should practice.

Her return to practice has included significant success, including a role in one of the top jury verdicts of 2013, according toLaw Week Colorado. In addition, Christina is among the top ranking attorneys in the state as measured by her presence on the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Super Lawyers list. Her experience includes work on products liability, serious personal injury, and wrongful death cases.
