Philip T. "Phil" Mazoki - Lawyer in Boston, MA

Philip practices in the area of electrical engineering and software, including technologies such as solid modeling, simulators, geological mining operations and system analysis, data structures, data processing, memory storage, the Internet of Things (IoT), electro-mechanical systems, and optics.

His legal experience includes patent and trademark prosecution, as well as patent and trademark litigation. Phil has significant experience drafting and prosecuting patents in the electrical and software fields for a wide variety of clients. His litigation experience includes discovery and infringement and validity analysis. Beyond working with many of our other clients, Phil enjoys working with clients in the greater Philadelphia and New Jersey areas, as well as across the U.S. and internationally.

In 2017, 2018, and 2019 Phil was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. In 2020, he received the distinction of Best Lawyers in America? Ones to Watch for his patent law expertise.

Prior to studying law, Phil worked for a research and development laboratory in inertial instrument testing, where he conducted gyroscope and accelerometer testing and characterization. He has also worked in the field of Distribution Planning Engineering for a large power utility, where he studied feeder ratings, cable ratings, relay settings, voltage regulator settings, network analysis and faulty duty calculations.

While at Temple University, Phil was a Staff Editor and Editorial Board Member of the Temple Journal of Science Technology and Environmental Law. At graduation, he was honored with the Robert C. Podwil Memorial Prize for excellent academic performance in the area of intellectual property. Phil has published the article Viacom International Inc. v. YouTube Inc. and the Failings of the Southern District Court of New York in the Temple Journal of Science, Technology and Environmental Law.
