Joshua R. "Josh" Strief - Lawyer in Des Moines, IA

Josh was born in Sac City, Iowa. He attended Drake University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with honors. In 2014, Josh received a Juris Doctorate with honors from the Drake University Law School. Josh was admitted to the Iowa State Bar and United States District Court, Southern and Northern Federal Districts of Iowa, in 2014.

In September 2018, Josh was awarded the Iowa Defense Counsel Associations Rising Star Award due to his outstanding commitment to the organization and leadership in the community. Josh handles a wide variety of cases for his clients, and is an expert on Iowas Expedited Civil Action lawsuit track. His article, Expedited Civil Actions: Where We Are and Where We Could Go, was published in the Iowa Defense Counsel Associations Defense Update, Summer 2017 edition. Josh is a member of the Iowa Defense Counsel Association, Defense Research Institute, Iowa Bar Association, and Polk County Bar Association. In his spare time, Josh serves on the Board of Directors for LifeServe Blood Center, as a member of the Drake Law School Recent Alumni Engagement Board, and enjoys spending time with his family.
