Lyons also assists in establishing IP programs for a number of clients, large and small, and oversees building, maintaining and monetizing a portfolio of IP rights obtained from it.
Mr. Lyons will also litigate and appeal these issues before the USPTO and various U.S. district courts and U.S. appeals courts, as necessary. Mr. Lyons' experience as a litigator (and former clerk) in these forums provides important insights and value to his clients.
Currently, Mr. Lyons is a co-chair of the company's Ethics Committee and a member of the company's Business Development Committee. Lyons also helped form the Canna-IP Practice Group to address the growing IP needs that are often ignored in the space.
Prior to joining MBHB, he worked as a research physicist for projects conducted at the National Center for Physical Acoustics and Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab). In his personal time, Mr. Lions is an avid hockey enthusiast and player who collects vintage instruments (especially early fenders, Gibson and Martin guitars).
