He works with clients to develop customized prosecution strategies guided by a strong understanding of the client's commercial activities, the industry in which the client does business, and the companies in which the client competes.

In addition, Mr. Clay has been involved in a number of litigation issues. His litigation experience includes drafting complaints, motions, memorandums of understanding and jury instructions; making discoveries; and asserting motions. His litigation experience has enhanced his prosecution experience and, on the one hand, his ability to procure appropriately broad and defensible patents, and on the other hand, his ability to comprehensively evaluate patents claimed in litigation.
