Mark Wilson chairs Dickinson Wrights Health Care Practice Group. He isa central part of the health care team currently acting as outside generalcounsel for a large health system which covers all aspects of the health careenvironment including providing regulatory, transactional and corporateservices as well as practical advice to health system operations, includingcompliance program effectiveness, compliance with Medicare and Conditions ofParticipation and hospital governance. He has also facilitated the creation andongoing operations of Medical Supergroups in which multiple practices cometogether to form a single large-scale group practice. He also facilitated theformation and operation of a number of multi-specialty group practicesincluding medical practices operating in multiple states. He has assisted inthe formation, development and in securing HUD-backed financing of aphysician-owned assisted living facility. Mark has facilitated the creation ofa national specialty management alliance. Mark has facilitated the creation andoperation of the megamedaplexs in Michigan including all legal andorganizational aspects of the equity funding, leasing, financing, management andconstruction. He has represented a variety of medical practices in theacquisition, development, construction, or operation of medical offices, freestanding dialysis centers, vascular access facilities, urgent cares,laboratories and surgical centers. He works closely with the practices on theirinternal operations including all aspects of compliance, management andgovernance. Mark has prepared private placement memoranda related to variousprivate offerings or subscriptions to fund major medical or commercialprojects. Mark has also assisted clients in securing Certificates of Need forvarious operations.
