Mark Messerschmidt was born outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated from West Chester University in 2009. In 2015, Mr. Messerschmidt earned his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University, magna cum laude, and was admitted to the Florida Bar. While in law school, Mr. Messerschmidt was a managing associate editor for Law Review, earning the Eugenie Krasicky Award for significant contributions. Mr. Messerschmidt finished within the top ten of his graduating class, receiving Western Michigan Universitys, Cooley School of Law, Presidents Academic Achievement Award. He also earned the Book Award in the following subjects: Torts I II, Civil Procedure I, Constitutional Law I, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Trial Skills, and Medical Malpractice. Additionally, Mr. Messerschmidt was a member of Phi Delta Phi and the National Mock Trial Team. Before joining La Cava Jacobson, P.A., Mr. Messerschmidt interned as a law clerk with the United States Attorneys Office for the Middle District of Florida, the Staff Attorneys of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court in Manatee County, Florida, and La Cava Jacobson, P.A. Mr. Messerschmidt will be focusing his practice defending health-care professionals and entities as well as general and premises liability issues.
