J. Patrick "Pat" Cooney - Lawyer in Houston, TX

Mr. Cooney has an active trial and appellate practice and has argued before both the Texas Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court. He authored the Amicus Curiae Brief filed the Maritime Law Association of the Unites States in the U.S Supreme Court case of Intertanko v. Locke and the Amicus Curiae Brief filed by the IADC in Stewart v. Dutra Construction.

Mr. Cooney devotes his practice to admiralty and maritime law. His extensive experience spans a nearly 50-year career, where hes handled both major maritime casualties as well as transactional matters for vessels. He has also represented lenders holding ship mortgages in bankruptcy proceedings.
