Ms. Shimamoto is a graduate of Iolani School in Honolulu. She graduated from Boston University, dual majoring in English and Classical Civilizations and Michigan State University College of Law. She currently is serving as the Chapter Chair of the Hawaii Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (2018-present).
