Abigail J. "Abby" Larimer - Lawyer in Atlanta, GE

Abby Larimer counsels employers with regard to various employment matters. Her practice includes matters involving restrictive covenants, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and other applicable employment laws. She has extensive experience providing counsel to employers with respect to issues arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act and equivalent state laws and specializes in employee misclassification and other wage and hour matters. Ms. Larimer also assists clients with internal investigations, terminations and reductions-in-force, drafting and revising personnel policies, and general compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Ms. Larimers extensive litigation experience includes numerous single and multi-plaintiff employment-related lawsuits. Her experience serving as lead counsel in wage and hour lawsuits includes collective and class action lawsuits throughout the country. Ms. Larimer participates regularly in mediations with specific expertise helping clients negotiate and successfully resolve a variety of employment-related litigation.

Additionally, Ms. Larimer provides legal counsel regarding labor and employment issues related to mergers and acquisitions and other business transactions. She represents management teams in acquisitions, including negotiating employment agreements for executives. Ms. Larimer also defends employers in compliance audits conducted by the Department of Labors Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and advises management with respect to Affirmative Action Plans.

While in law school, Ms. Larimer interned with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. This experience provides her with unique insight when guiding employers through the EEOC process. Ms. Larimer is a member of MMMs COVID-19 Task Force.
