Chris Page, a shareholder at Young Moore and Henderson, is an experienced and successful trial lawyer, serving as lead trial counsel in numerous state and federal jury trials since he began his law career in 1992. Chris represents a broad array of commercial clients, but his practice centers primarily on complex business litigation, employment litigation, and trademark/ trade secret litigation. He also regularly represents clients in non-compete litigation. Chris is listed in North Carolina Super Lawyers? in the area of business litigation (2018-2020). He recently obtained a successful defense result for his client in a false advertising case with a claim in excess of $900 million. Chris also represents insurers with the defense of their insureds in tort and commercial litigation, and with insurance coverage analysis and bad faith litigation.

Chriss practice also has special emphasis on the representation of clients in the Hospitality and Retail industries, where he represents a number of national companies with all of their legal needs, including business claims, tort claims, employment claims, and product liability claims. Chris is the leader of Young Moores Hospitality/ Retail Industry Group.

Chris believes that the core element in the practice of law is not business, it is service. He builds strong relationships with his clients by serving them, listening well, being straightforward and honest, understanding their goals with each case, working diligently to accomplish those goals, always keeping the big picture in mind, and if a matter is headed to trial, going into trial with confidence by out-preparing the other side and being able to convey persuasively his clients story to the jury or judge.

Chris is actively involved in ALFA International, Americas oldest and pre-eminent legal network, with a member firm in nearly all 50 states and in 70 countries. He currently serves on its Board of Directors, and was chosen in 2017 as the Attorney of the Year for the organization. He is the Chairman Emeritus of the Hospitality and Retail Law Practice Group. He is also active in the Claims and Litigation Alliance, and has been a speaker at the annual conference for the Retail, Restaurant and Hospitality group. He has also spoken at the National Restaurant Associations annual meeting.

Chris graduated summa cum laude from Duke University in 1989 with a degree in Political Science, and he was an early inductee to Phi Beta Kappa. Chris attended the Yale Law School, where he served as Senior Editor for the Yale Law Journal, before graduating in 1992. Chris then clerked for Judge Thomas A. Wiseman (M.D.Tenn.).

Chris is a frequent speaker on litigation and business topics, including employment litigation, non-compete litigation, the impact of the wearable device revolution on the employment relationship, and a primer for employers on social media use by employees. In the last six years, he created and presented at ALFAs largest annual conference, the International Client Seminar (ICS), large, multimedia presentations on Creating a Culture of Innovation, Reptile Theory, Work-Life Balance, and a practical guide to working with employees from the millennial generation. He will be leading the opening session at the 2018 ICS with a presentation on creating a culture of innovation with a business.

Chris is proud father to three children, including two Tar Heel girls (but he doesnt hold that against them) and his teenage son, with whom he spent the last 8 years working with and achieving his black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Chris charitable work includes volunteering for the Ronald McDonald House of Durham and Wake, for which he also serves on its Board of Trustees. Chris also was a regular driver for Meals on Wheels for 20 years. Chris teaches High School Sunday school at his church, and when he can find the time, Chris enjoys playing and listening to Americana music, theatre, cooking and traveling.
