Dick Woods joined the firm in 2001, practicing primarily in Estate Planning and Real Estate where he now has over 43 years of experience, and is licensed to practice in both Kansas and Missouri. Mr. Woods is experienced in trust and estate planning for estates of all sizes, preparation of federal estate, gift and generation skipping tax returns, and probate and trust administration. He received his B.A., with distinction, from the University of Kansas in 1972, and his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1975 where he was a member of Order of the Coif and a Note and Comment Editor of the Missouri Law Review. ?

Mr. Woods is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, Missouri Bar, Johnson County Bar Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and Estate Planning Society of Kansas City. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) since 1988 and is a former ACTEC Kansas State Chair.
