About the lawyer
Craig Landy is a partner with extensive experience in contract risk assessment and risk management for major construction projects, including preparing, reviewing and negotiating contracts and proposing creative solutions to limit exposure to potential risks. Mr. Landy also works closely with contractors and other construction industry members to provide counsel regarding successful resolution or avoidance of potential disputes in ongoing construction projects.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Landy was a partner at Landy Seymour in New York City, where he was involved in a full range of contract counseling activities, including the drafting of agreements, providing advice and counseling to business professionals, negotiation of contracts and the formation and operation of partnerships and the supervision of major impact litigation, especially in the healthcare field.
Mr. Landy's public service includes law secretary to New York State Supreme Court Justice Harold Baer, Jr. and deputy chief of the Commercial Litigation Division of the New York City Corporation Counsel's Office. In addition, for 21 years, he was an adjunct professor of law at New York Law School. Mr. Landy is also a past president of the New York County Lawyers' Association (2000? 2002). He served that Association in a number of capacities, including Vice President and Chair of the Executive Committee. He is currently a member of NYCLA's Board of Directors, Past Presidents Committee and Task Force on Meeting the Challenge of New York's new pro bono rules.
Mr. Landy served for many years in the House of Delegates of the New York State Bar Association and as a member of that Association's Nominating Committee. He has also served as a Delegate to the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association and he is a Fellow of the New York Bar Foundation.
