He has co-ordinated complex, global patent litigation for many of Fortune 500 clients and has argued many times before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Berghoff chairs the company's Litigation & Appeals Practice Group.

Berghoff also has a particular focus on assessing potential litigation risks and opportunities, including bottom-line business risks and flights related to patent infringement, validity, and enforcement.He has also served as a neutral arbitrator in major patent disputes.
