Richard C. "Dick" Hite - Lawyer in Wichita, KS

Dick Hite is a founding member and senior partner in the law firm of Hite, Fanning Honeyman, L.L.P. He concentrates his legal practice on business litigation, commercial litigation and oil and gas litigation. He also serves as an arbitrator and mediator in business, contract, environmental and professional liability disputes. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, District of Kansas, Kansas Supreme Court, and Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation. An avid supporter of excellence in the profession, Dick has held a number of leadership roles with these and other legal organizations over the course of his career. Among his contributions, he has served as state chairman of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Wichita Bar Associations Bench and Bar Committee, and the Kansas Bar Associations Litigation Section and Legislative Committee. He has been the Kansas state delegate to the American Bar Association (ABA), president of the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws, and president of the Kansas Association of Defense Counsel. More recently, he was elected by Kansas lawyers and served eight years as chairman of the Kansas Supreme Court Nominating Commission.
