With twenty-five years of family law experience, co-principal P. AndréKatz represents high-profile, high net worth clients, often in theworlds of business, sports and entertainment. Mr. Katz is a successfullitigator and recognized expert in international child custody andjurisdictional disputes, handling overseas cases in Latin America, Asia,Europe and the Middle East.

A highly sought-after speaker and well-published writer on a widerange of family law topics, he has lectured throughout the UnitedStates, including talks before the American Academy of MatrimonialLawyers, the Illinois State Bar Association, The Chicago Bar Associationand the National Business Institute. His research and opinions havealso been published in articles featured in the Illinois Family LawHandbook, The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Journal andnumerous other publications.

As chairman of the Illinois Family Law Study Committee, enacted byHouse Resolution 1101, Mr. Katz has led the public review and proposedrevision of Illinois divorce and child custody laws and is responsiblefor submitting the Committees final report to the governor and theHouse of Representatives. He also played a key role in laying the earlyfoundation of the expedited child support program in the Circuit Courtof Cook County.

Throughout his career, Mr. Katz has been an active member of TheChicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and American BarAssociation. He also served as co-chairman of the CBAs Young LawyersDivision of the Family Law Committee.

Prior to his role as co-principal of Katz Stefani, Mr. Katzwas a former partner in the litigation department of McDermott Will Emery, one of the worlds largest law firms, and an equity partnerat Berger Schatz.
