About the lawyer
Taylor A. Williams received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee, graduating with honors. He received his law degree from The University of Tennessee College of Law in 2009, graduating with high honors. In law school, Taylors case commentary was published in schools business law journal.
Since joining the firm, Taylor has over ten years of complex litigation practice, focusing on commercial disputes and defense of products liability actions in jurisdictions across the county. He also has significant experience in commercial arbitrations and has represented numerous clients in intellectual property matters, including suits for patent and trademark infringement, violations of non-compete agreements, and misappropriation of trade secrets.
Taylor was selected as a Rising Star in the Mid-South by Super Lawyers in 2018 and 2019, and was selected in 2020 by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America the area of Products Liability Litigation? Defendants.
He is a 2015 graduate of IADC Trial Academy, as well as a 2015 graduate of the Tennessee Bar Associations Leadership Law Class. The Leadership Law program selects attorneys from across the state to come together over the course of a year and further develop the vision, knowledge and skills necessary to serve as leaders in their profession as well as local communities.
Taylor is active in the local bar association, serving as President of the Knoxville Barristers (the young lawyer division of the Knoxville Bar Association) in 2015, as well as serving on the KBA Board of Governors from 2014-2016. He also received recognition in 2011 for his pro bono contributions to Legal Aid of East Tennessee.
Taylor has been honored to serve as general counsel to the Knoxville Opera Company for many years.
Taylor lives in Knoxville with his wife and three children.
