Born in New York City, Michael Nachwalter earned his B.S. from Bucknell University, his M.S. from Long Island University, his J.D. from the University of Miami with honors, and his LL.M. from Yale University.

He is admitted to the bar in Florida and the U.S. District Court, Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth, Eleventh and Federal circuits. Michael clerked for the Honorable Ted Cabot and the Honorable Joe Eaton, Judges for the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida.

He has received numerous honors, including membership in the Omicron Delta Kappa-national college honor society, Phi Kappa Phi, a national collegiate honor society, the Society of Wig and Robe, the legal honor society of the University of Miami Law School, Iron Arrow at the University of Miami. He also served as the editor-in-chief of the University of Miami Law Review. He was a Stirling Fellow at Yale. Michael has authored a number of published legal articles, including: Substantive Due Process in Florida in the University of Miami Law Review, Consumer Rights in the 1980s? A Challenge for the Florida Bar in The Florida Bar Journal, Is There a Prayer for Private Injunctive Relief After Religious Technology Center v. Wollersheim, Civil RICO Report, and Facing the Tide of Change, in The Florida Bar Journal. He has also served as a lecturer and member of the adjunct faculty of the Trial Advocacy Program at the University of Miami Law School.

Michael served on the Board of Governors of the Florida Bar. He was a trustee of the Eleventh Circuit Historical Society, a vice chairman of the Judicial Qualifications Commission, and a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the International Society of Barristers. Michael is a member of the Dade County, Federal and American Bar associations.

He served on numerous committee posts, including chairman of the committee on consumer protection laws and member of the special task force, the antitrust committee, and the corporation, banking, and business law sections. Michael has served as a member of the Attorney Generals Antitrust Revision Committee, the Consumer Council and the Advisory Board of the Civil RICO Report.
