Born in New York City, Michael Nachwalter earned his B.S. from Bucknell University, his M.S. from Long Island University, his J.D. from the University of Miami with honors, and his LL.M. from Yale University.

Michael served on the Board of Governors of the Florida Bar. He was a trustee of the Eleventh Circuit Historical Society, a vice chairman of the Judicial Qualifications Commission, and a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the International Society of Barristers. Michael is a member of the Dade County, Federal and American Bar associations.

He served on numerous committee posts, including chairman of the committee on consumer protection laws and member of the special task force, the antitrust committee, and the corporation, banking, and business law sections. Michael has served as a member of the Attorney Generals Antitrust Revision Committee, the Consumer Council and the Advisory Board of the Civil RICO Report.
