Rae Vasquez is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group. She represents clients in a broad range of commercial, finance, and real estate transactions. Rae advises clients on a variety of commercial transactions, including real estate matters, corporate transactions, and construction lending, in connection with affordable housing transactions. She regularly drafts and negotiates sophisticated commercial agreements such as purchase agreements, lease agreements, development agreements, and loan agreements, as well as municipal bond transactions that include taxable and tax-exempt financings, and tax increment financings. Rae has represented lenders in construction financing and affordable housing tax credit projects, including in the private placement forward tax-exempt loan (Forward TEL) structure that Freddie Mac has developed. She has also represented national retailers in significant real estate transactions, including acquisitions, development, planning, management, land use, and zoning. Additionally, Rae has experience representing 501©(3) organizations, including helping public colleges and universities address various infrastructure needs such as housing and parking.
