Paul Dicharrys practice spans over 30 years and covers a broad range of environmental and administrative law matters, including regulatory and legislative drafting, contracting, compliance, and litigation. Issues handled include permitting and compliance under all media (air, water, waste) regulated by federal and state environmental programs, as well as assessment and impact statements, wetlands (permits, compliance and mitigation banking), endangered species, natural resource damages, OSHA process safety management, and oil and gas projects. He has led complex remediation and environmental due diligence teams in several multi-million dollar projects, domestic and international, and regularly supervises compliance and self-evaluation audits for clients.Before his legal career, Mr. Dicharry served as Assistant Dean, Admissions Records, Loyola University of the South (1971-73) and as Environmental Protection Specialist for the U.S. Coast Guard, Eighth District (1973-1981). In the latter position, he was a member of several inter-agency wetland evaluation teams established by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Following law school, Mr. Dicharry joined the firm of Adams and Reese in New Orleans from 1981 to 2005. Mr. Dicharry joined Taylor Porter in 2005.Mr. Dicharry is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and is a former Chairman of the Associations Environmental Law Section. He is a former member of the adjunct faculty at Tulane University School of Law and has lectured frequently on environmental topics, both in the United States and abroad.
