LANCE A. GILDNER is an equity partner in the Dayton office of Taft Stettinius Hollister LLP. He received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. He specializes in tax law with a primary focus on tax controversy. With almost 22 years in practice as a tax attorney and an Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) certification as a Federal Tax Specialist, Mr. Gildner has developed a breadth of knowledge and experience dealing with federal and state tax issues for partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations, for-profit and nonprofit entities as well as individuals. Mr. Gildner also has significant experience in handling tax controversy and civil and tax litigation matters in the United States Tax Court, Federal District Courts, the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court.

He is a member of the Dayton, Ohio State and American Bar Associations, a member of the American Bar Association Taxation Section, and former chair of the Dayton Bar Association Business and Tax Law Committee. Mr. Gildner was selected for inclusion in 2012 Ohio Super Lawyers. He was also selected as 2013 Lawyer of the Year in Dayton for Tax Law by Best Lawyers in America.
