Louie Whit Carmon II (Whit) provides insurance coverage advice to domestic and international insurers. He specializes in general liability and professional liability, with experience representing long-term care facilities and health professionals in complex matters.

Prior to joining Fields Howell, Whit worked as an associate at a regional law firm headquartered in Atlanta where he represented insurance companies in matters relating to general liability, professional liability, and medical malpractice. Before joining private practice, Whit interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Atlanta. He also served as a law clerk for current Georgia Supreme Court Justice John Ellington while at the Georgia Court of Appeals.

Whit earned his Juris Doctor in 2016 from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law where he graduated magna cum laude. In addition to his academic achievements, he was a member of the Mercer Law Review, W.A. Bootle Inn of Court, and participated in various community service projects. He received his undergraduate degree in English magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2013.

Whit and his wife, Emily, live in Atlanta. In his free time he enjoys playing tennis, watching UGA football, and spending time with ten nieces and nephews.
