In May 2013, Alice Paylor became the fourth female presidentof the South Carolina Bar and the third member of her firm to hold theposition. She continues to serve herprofession as a member of the National Conference of Bar Presidents and as aSouth Carolina State Delegate to the American Bar Association (ABA) House ofDelegates.

Alices practice focuses primarily on complex commerciallitigation, employment litigation, school law and zoning law. Her commercial litigation practice includesrepresentation of all types of business entities in contract disputes, businesstorts, lender-borrower litigation, and more. Alice received her undergraduate degree from the Universityof North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her J.D. from the University of SouthCarolina School of Law. She served for the next several years as DeputyCorporation Counsel for the City of Charleston, helping to navigate complexlitigation in which the City was involved.
