About the lawyer
Bob Lockaby was born and raised in Chattanooga. He joined the firm in 1982 after having served four years as a trial attorney in the United States Army Judge Advocate Generals Corps. Since joining the firm, Bob has concentrated his practice in complex commercial litigation, representing (i) business clients of the firm in a variety of commercial litigation matters, (ii) owners, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in construction and related litigation, (iii) local, regional and national banks in transaction and lending-related disputes, and in creditors rights matters, and (iv) many other individuals and businesses in general commercial litigation. Bob has had great success in his litigation practice, including multiple settlements and judgments exceeding a million dollars. In recent years, while maintaining his litigation practice, Bob has brought his commercial litigation experience to the general business and transactional side of the firms practice. There, he concentrates on business formations, mergers and acquisitions, complex loan transactions, real estate development, construction contracting and dispute resolution, and general corporate representation, including serving as counsel to area businesses.
In November 2009, while remaining a member of the Firm, Bob assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of Remington Industries, Inc., a local automotive accessories company, and served in that capacity until August 2012. Beginning in September 2012, Bob became General Counsel at Remington and gradually began resuming his private practice. As of January 1, 2015, Bob has returned to full-time private practice with the firm.
Bob is also very active in civic, community, and church affairs. He and his wife, Becky, live in Harrison and are active members of the Ooltewah United Methodist Church where they serve in leadership positions.
