Charles F. Printz, Jr., is a partner in the Martinsburg office of Bowles Rice. He is a former leader of the firms Business Litigation Practice Group and serves on the firms Executive Committee. He is also a member of the firms Financial Services Litigation Team. He concentrates his practice in all aspects of civil litigation, including business litigation, commercial disputes, employer liability, employment law, condemnation and wrongful death/personal injury. He has tried more than 80 jury trials to verdict.

Mr. Printz is a permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference, and serves on the Law and Medicine Committee of the West Virginia State Bar and the Employment Law Subcommittee of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia. He was a member of the American Inns of Court (Master of the Bench) and the West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (member of the Board of Governors 1980-1985), and is currently a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia and the West Virginia State Bar.

He earned his bachelor of arts degree in 1972 from the University of Virginia and his law degree in 1975 from West Virginia University College of Law where he served as lead articles editor for the West Virginia Law Review (1974-1975). He is admitted to practice in West Virginia and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

In 2006, Mr. Printz served as a member of the United States Magistrate Judge Selection Panel for the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and on the Governors Advisory Committee on Judicial Nominations for the 23rd Judicial Circuit. He has been named one of The Best Lawyers in America in West Virginia in the areas of commercial litigation, labor and employment law, and bet-the company litigation, and he has been listed in Super Lawyers in the area of business litigation.

In 2008, he was named a West Virginia Bar Foundation Fellow.
