David D'Aloia, a senior member of the firm and member of its executive committee, leads the firm's insurance and reinsurance practice group and represents a number of major domestic insurance and reinsurance companies.

The group handles a wide variety of insurance coverage and defense matters in all major lines of coverage including property and casualty, CGL, commercial, life and health, employment practices liability, directors and officers, professional liability, surety and personal lines. David has substantial experience handling reinsurance coverage disputes and arbitrations involving all types of reinsurance contracts and underlying books of business. The firm has significant depth in this area and handles the full range of reinsurance disputes involving quota share, excess of loss, inuring and clash covers and many other specialized products. Underlying books of business include property and casualty, commercial lines, whole account, surety, workers compensation, finite and financial reinsurance and other unique coverages, such as kidnap ransom and auto lease residual value. David has been lead counsel in many substantial reinsurance arbitrations tried to a final conclusion.

David's practice covers the representation of clients in other areas as well, including commercial disputes, products liability, environmental, asbestos and professional liability. This broad range of experience has been particularly helpful in enabling David to represent his clients in diverse matters.

David also has a significant appellate practice and has won many important coverage decisions in the New Jersey Supreme Court and other appellate courts, including cases involving allocation of liability for asbestos and environmental claims, insurer bad-faith liability and reinsurance coverage.
