Bob Van Brocklin concentrates his practice in energy, land use, and infrastructure development, including on complex project siting and administrative law and policy matters. Bob has represented industrial, commercial, retail, governmental, institutional, natural resource, and other clients on a wide range of projects, including obtaining regulatory and administrative approvals necessary to construct facilities. Bob has also assisted clients in a wide range of governmental proceedings and negotiations in the Northwest and at the federal level.

Bob is chair of the Oregon Transportation Commission. He is a past managing partner of the firm (2008-2015) and prior to serving as managing partner chaired Stoel Rives Land Use, Environmental, Natural Resource practice group and Real Estate practice group.
