J. Andrew "Andy" Gipson - Lawyer in Jackson, MS

Andy Gipson is special counsel in the Corporate Practice Group. He focuses on securities, banking, communications, and insurance regulatory law. In 2007, Andy was elected to the Mississippi Legislature representing District 77 in the Mississippi House of Representatives. In 2018, Gov. Phil Bryant appointed Andy to serve as the commissioner of agriculture and commerce for the State of Mississippi. Following his appointment to the MDAC, Andy was elected to the board of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture, president of the Southern Association of the State Departments of Agriculture, and vice president of the Southern United States Trade Association.Andy is a member of The Mississippi Bar and was selected as a member of Leadership Simpson County, Class of 2006-2007 and of Leadership Jackson, Class of 2003-2004.
