About the lawyer
Chris focuses his practice exclusively on complex commercial and business litigation. His experience includes high-stakes disputes of every description, including contract, securities, patent infringement, trade secret, copyright, legal malpractice defense, and every manner of energy-related dispute. Given his civil engineering background, Chris has handled numerous cases involving the engineering, construction and operation of power plants, petrochemical plants, gas plants, and refineries.
In addition, Chris has handled litigation and arbitration across a broad spectrum of technologies and industries, including bio-medical devices, drugs, GPS receivers, semi-conductors, software and oil and gas technology. He has handled many antitrust cases, including cases involving allegations of predatory pricing, price fixing, and bundling. Chris routinely represents both plaintiffs and defendants.
Chris also has served a party-appointed arbitrator and, on occasion, as a mediator of complex commercial cases.
Upon graduation from law school, Chris joined Wood, Campbell, Moody Gibbs, P.C. and was an original associate with Gibbs Ratliff, LLP, when it was formed in October 1983. Gibbs Ratliff became Gibbs Bruns LLP in 1993. In the fall of 2009, he left Gibbs Bruns to become a founding partner of the firm.
Chris is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and an Associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
