Mr. Isons practice spans both the healthcare and generalcorporate areas. As a member of theFirms healthcare group, Mr. Ison advises physicians and physician groups,physical therapists, chiropractors, nurse practitioners and physicianassistants, as well as physician joint ventures, such as Independent DiagnosticTesting Facilities (IDTFs) and ambulatory surgery centers, on regulatory issues(including compliance with the federal Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, FalseClaims Act, Civil Monetary Penalties Law, HIPAA and analogous state lawsgoverning self-referral, fee-splitting, kickbacks, the corporate practice ofmedicine and privacy), Medicare reimbursement and reassignment, certificates ofneed, facility and professional licensing, professional entity formation andqualification, prompt payment and various other matters.
