Michael A. McCabe is a member of MWMs executive committee. He co-chairs MWMs complex litigation/dispute resolution section and the employment and labor law practice and leads the firms employment litigation cases. In April 2021, McCabe was the lead attorney ona trial team that won an $86 million jury verdict on behalf of long-time firmclient AMS Sensors (AMS Sensors USA Inc. v.Renesas Electronics America Inc.). He continues to serve as leadcounsel in this dispute that has been in litigation since 2008.

In2016, McCabe persuaded theTexas Supreme Court to reverse two lower courts decisions and dismiss adefamation lawsuit brought against a television station and three of itsreporters. In addition to relieving the clients of any liability, the decisionclarified the legal protections afforded to media defendants when reporting onmatters of public concern.
